About us
Electrodiagnosis & Musculoskeletal Associates of Puget Sound, P.S., formerly Electrodiagnosis & Rehabilitation Associates of Tacoma, P.S., has been serving the Puget Sound Region for over 35 years, and incorporated in 1981. We have multiple offices conveniently located in the South Puget Sound.

To provide the highest quality of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Management specialty services.

To comprehensively treat every patient with respect and dignity. We understand the importance of establishing an accurate diagnosis in order to institute the best treatment plan and promote the best outcome.
OUR GOAL
To maximize functional potential through state of the art rehabilitation techniques which minimize impairment and disability.
We are recognized as both Regional and National Experts in Electrodiagnostic Medicine – Electromyography (EMG)/Nerve Conduction Study (NCS), often abbreviated EMG/NCS. In September, 2011, Electrodiagnosis & Musculoskeletal Associates of Puget Sound was recognized by AANEM as the First Multi-Physician Electrodiagnostic Laboratory in Washington State Awarded the Prestigious Distinction of – Full Accreditation with Exemplary Status, one of less than 20 laboratories so Accredited Nationwide.
Some of our members have published and contributed to advancements in this specialty field to include unique expertise relative to Electrodiagnostics of the Ankle and Foot including such problems as: Anterior and Posterior Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, Medial and/or Lateral Plantar Neuropathy, “Baxter’s” Neuropathy among several other variants of distal peripheral entrapment neuropathy, which sometimes is difficult to differentiate from distal peripheral neuropathy.

Dr. Surinderjit Singh, the original founder of Electrodiagnosis & Rehabilitation Associates of Tacoma, passed on June 9, 2018. He served as President and CEO of the organization until his retirement in 2001.
Senior Partner, 1998-Present
Dr Sundarum joined EMA in 1998 after attaining dual specialty residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) and Internal Medicine (IM) at the University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago.
