Dr. Cochrane joined EMA in 2020 after serving as an active duty Army Physician and as a civilian to the Department of Defense in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He returned back to his and his wife’s home of the Pacific Northwest (he was born in Oregon and she started life in Washington).

His philosophy in medicine is to help his patients maximize their function and quality of life, to return, or be able to begin, activities which make life meaningful, joyful, and fulfilling by removing current physical barriers of pain, motion limitation, or other disability which is preventing them from enjoying life both at work and in their own time and leisure.

He specializes in diagnosing and treating muscle, nerve, joint, and spine conditions to include headaches and pain. Treatment of these injuries or conditions can include rehabilitative care; gentle realignment of bones, muscles and connective tissue; non-operative, minimally invasive interventions; and medical acupuncture. These treatments are tailored to the individual using one or more of these treatment tools with the goal of not only resolving the underlying problem, but in also providing education on how to prevent recurrence. His goal is not to be your doctor for the rest of your life, but help you remove the obstacle which is preventing you from enjoying life both at work and in your hobbies and then help others who need similar aid.

Dr. Cochrane has taught countless Medical Students, Interns, Residents, and Fellows in Sports Medicine and Pain, presented at state and national medical conferences, and helped author a chapter in a medical textbook on ultrasound guided interventional techniques. In his free time, he enjoys operating a small farm with his wife raising produce, grass hay, cattle, pigs, sheep, alpacas, and chickens and repairing the fences and equipment that this entails.
